too all the dummies who think all the STRs are single family homes, go on airBNB and do a search. On Oahu most are in old high rise apartment building, 1 or 2 bedroom and not in a location where a family would want to live. The ones that are single family homes are in very expensive areas that not many could ever afford. The vast majority of single family homes here on Oahu are owned by locals which have been passed down through generations. Problem now is that there are many here now who just want everything given to them. Also the STRs bring in a lot of jobs in the service and repair sectors, so how is decreasing the number of available jobs going to help?
